Who Can Get the Benefit?
The scheme covers members of families whose annual income is below ₹1.80 lakh as verified in the Family Information Data Repository (FIDR). Eligible beneficiaries include family members aged between 6 and 60 years who suffer accidental permanent disability or whose death occurs due to natural or accidental causes.
Permanent disability under the scheme means 70% or more permanent disability caused by an accident, certified by the competent medical authority. The benefit amount is determined according to the age category of the beneficiary.
Special Provision for Minor Girl Child
The Haryana Government has included a special provision for minor girls under the DAYALU Scheme.
If the deceased beneficiary belongs to the 25 to 45 years age group and there is a minor girl child in the family, then out of the ₹5 lakh assistance amount, ₹2.5 lakh will be transferred directly to the minor girl’s Aadhaar-linked bank account, while the remaining amount will be distributed according to the scheme rules.
