Nikay Chunav 2026 :Reservation & Election Process
Ward Reservation : Seats are reserved for SC, ST, OBC, and Women (33% to 50% as per latest Rajasthan Govt amendment) through a randomized lottery system (Draw of Lots).
Chairman / Mayor Reservation : 10 out of the major Municipal Corporations (Nagar Nigam) have been reserved for Women candidates.
Voting Method : Direct election by the public using EVMs (Electronic Voting Machines) or Ballot Papers as decided by SEC.
Model Code of Conduct (MCC) : Strictly enforced from the date of the official schedule announcement till the declaration of results.
राजस्थान राज्य निर्वाचन आयोग ने नगरीय निकाय चुनाव 2 चरणों में कराने का निर्णय लिया है। पहले चरण का मतदान 9 सितंबर 2026 को और दूसरे चरण का मतदान 11 सितंबर 2026 को होगा।

राजस्थान के 41 जिलों की कुल 309 नगरीय निकायों (नगर निगम, नगर परिषद और नगर पालिका) में आम चुनाव कराए जाएंगे।

Ans :
आचार संहिता चुनाव कार्यक्रम की आधिकारिक घोषणा के बाद लागू हो जाएगी और परिणाम घोषित होने तक प्रभावी रहेगी।

किस नगर निकाय में सबसे अधिक और किसमें सबसे कम मतदाता हैं?
Ans :
सबसे अधिक मतदाता जयपुर नगर निगम (Nagar Nigam Jaipur) में हैं, जहाँ 24,30,839 मतदाता पंजीकृत हैं, सबसे कम मतदाता इन्द्रगढ़ (Indragarh) नगरपालिका में हैं, जहाँ केवल 4,744 मतदाता हैं।

चुनाव के लिए कुल कितने वार्ड और मतदान केंद्र (Polling Stations) बनाए गए हैं?
Ans :
वार्डों की कुल संख्या: 10,245 है (वर्ष 2019 में यह 7,500 थी, जिसमें 36.6% की वृद्धि हुई है), मतदान केंद्रों की संख्या: 16,465 है (वर्ष 2019 में यह 10,153 थी, जिसमें 62.16% की वृद्धि हुई है)
